SHE CAN’T RUN AWAY FROM ME, I WILL MARRY HER BY FORCE.

This guy and I were classmates way back in school and our paths crossed again some years ago. Things were really hard for him and so when he opened up to me about the situation he was in, I wanted to help him. I spoke to a friend of mine to get some work for him to do and he was employed as a driver for the company my friend was working in. This classmate of mine was incompetent and he started using the company car to do his own personal rounds. He wasn’t coming to work to drive the boss. It was always one complaint over the other. It became too much for me, so when my friend told me he wanted to sack him but he respects me a lot so he didn’t want me to feel bad about it, I gave him the go ahead to sack him. He was sacked and the car was taken from him.

After he was fired from the job, this classmate of mine started calling me all the time. Begging me to speak to my friend to get him another job. I was ignoring his messages and then he started showing up at where I work. I had to tell the security guy to stop him anytime he comes. One midnight his calls woke me up from my sleep and when I answered he was almost crying on the phone. He told me his first daughter was ill and there was no money to cater for her. I was deeply moved, so I sent him something. The following morning, I called to check up on him and he sounded more cheerful, but he started asking for more money. I was thinking of the possibility that the story he told me about his daughter was all a lie so I requested to visit them. He wasn’t lying. The girl was admitted at Korle bu, she was having an issue with thyroid fever and I handled all the medical bills until she got better.

I got to know that she was a 21 year old SHS graduate who wanted to further her education, but due to poverty she couldn’t. I went through her WASSCE results and they were not bad at all. I offered to sponsor her education. I developed feelings towards her and I told her about it. She was initially reluctant to accept me, but she later accepted. I was open about it so I told her parents that I was interested in marrying her but I wanted her to finish school. I promised to establish her and everything and my classmate and his wife accepted. I got a shop for his wife and they were doing a bit better although my classmate was always calling to ask for money. I’m a widower with three boys. After my wife died 5 years ago, I haven’t been with any woman because I gave myself to work and taking care of my boys.

I took care of my classmate’s daughter who was also my girlfriend. I was doing everything for her and visiting her on campus. When she completed, last year, I told her I wanted to marry her and she agreed. I made my intentions known to her dad as well and they all agreed. I was putting things together to do an official knocking. Up till now I don’t know how my classmate planned everything and hid it from me, but not knowing his daughter got married in level 400 to a Ghanaian based outside. The guy came to Ghana shortly to marry her. I heard the girl went to the UK a week after I proposed marriage to her and I have even seen her pictures on Facebook to confirm she is really in UK. They knew she was travelling when I proposed to her, yet they made me a fool.

I was so shocked I thought it was all a joke. I had a serious confrontation with my friend and all he could say was that his daughter was in love with the guy and he is her agemate unlike me who is 49 years. But they knew all of this when they were accepting my money and school fees.
I don’t even know when he met the guy and how they dated and even got married behind my back when I was visiting her on weekends. She wasn’t wearing any ring and nothing showed she was married. I don’t understand all of this and I’m still in shock. I want them to reimburse my money to me. They have scammed me big time but I won’t let this go. I’m doing my own investigations and I will find out where she is staying in the UK. Marrying her will be the only payment I need so I will make sure I marry her.
